The Daily Beast – In his latest article, past ICWA Fellow Neri Zilber examines an important and often overlooked factor that is contributing to the decline in violence in the West Bank, the work of the Palestinian Authority Security Forces.  The PASF cooperates with the Israel Defense Forces to contain Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has been and continues to be effective.  According to Zilber, despite the recent bus bombing in Jerusalem, the activities of the PASF have contributed to an overall decrease in unrest and “the PASF has navigated the tumult better than many expected, managing to maintain its cohesion, professionalism, and discipline.” For more on the PASF and its relationship with Israel, read Zilber’s article in the Daily Beast.
