ICWA held its semi-annual dinner in Washington on Thursday, December 5th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Ave., NW.

Keynote speaker Fabrice Houdart—ICWA trustee and UN human rights officer— discussed historic xenophobia in France in the context of current anti-immigrant sentiments.

Earlier in the day, returning fellow Karina Piser (France, 2017-2019) reported on her fellowship examining the French state policy of secularism and the integration of Muslims in society at the Alliance Française in Washington.
