Cris Duschek is a journalist and chief communications officer at Paradise Advertising & Marketing, where she leads strategic communications initiatives for tourism and destination marketing. Born in Bucharest, Romania, Cris grew up in New York City. During her ICWA fellowship from 2004 to 2006, she returned to her native country to report on post-communist transitions and media reform. She has written and reported for publications including The Economist, American Banker, and The Washington Post, and held senior communications roles at the University of Arizona Foundation, Visit Tampa Bay and PricewaterhouseCoopers. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from New York University and a bachelor’s from Harvard University, where she played top singles tennis and captained her Division I team.
