Neri Zilber

Neri Zilber is a journalist and researcher specializing in Middle East politics and culture. His ICWA fellowship (Israel, 2011–2013) examined Israel’s complicated and diverse society and even more complicated political system.

Now based in Tel Aviv, he covers regional developments for Financial Times and serves as an adviser to the Israel Policy Forum, where he hosts the Israel Policy Pod, a current affairs podcast. Neri is a visiting scholar at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy and a frequent contributor to Foreign Policy, The Christian Science Monitor and The Daily Beast.

His work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Politico, The Atlantic, The New Republic, The Guardian, Foreign Affairs and New Lines Magazine.

Neri grew up in Israel, Singapore, Spain and the United States. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a master’s degree from the Department of War Studies, King’s College London.
