Jonathan Guyer is program director for the Institute for Global Affairs at the Eurasia Group. His ICWA fellowship (Egypt, 2015-2017) was based in Cairo and examined connections between cultural currents and political change across the broader Middle East. He has reported on foreign policy, national security and Middle East issues for New York Magazine, The Guardian, the Washington Post and other publications. He also worked as a senior writer at Vox and as managing editor of The American Prospect. He was a 2017-2018 Harvard Radcliffe fellow and a Fulbright fellow researching political cartoons in Egypt in 2012-2013. He has a BA from Brown University.
