A counter-proposal to President Joseph Biden’s $3.5 trillion economic bill of only $1.5 trillion is “too small,” House Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal (India, 1995-96) told CNN’s Dana Bash on October 3, 2021 on “State of the Union.”
“That’s not going to happen,” Jayapal said when pressed on the $1.5 trillion number. “It’s going to be somewhere between 1.5 and 3.5, and I think the White House is working on that right now because, remember, what we want to deliver is childcare, paid leave and climate change, housing.”
