Please join us in Washington, DC at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 13, when returning David Mixner LGBTQ+ Fellow Edric Huang will deliver his end-of-fellowship talk as the institute begins its centenary events.

Edric will discuss the role of LGBTQ+ rights in Taiwan’s democracy, and what the movement’s discourse says about the island’s social and political direction. He spent two years based in Taipei examining how pluralistic identity politics, legal battles and geopolitical pressures are affecting queer communities.
